There is a lot of triggering and traumatizing news/photos/videos right now. Please be mindful of what you share and how that image could effect someone and possibly re-traumatize them. Consider putting TRIGGER WARNINGS on graphic and sensitive content. Keep sharing, stay aware, educate others, but be cautious.
Check in on your black friends. Make sure they are taking care of themselves. Offer a safe space and listening ear. You may not understand their pain but be there with them in understanding, exhaustion, rage, and support.
Be gentle with yourself as you navigate through this storm. Allow yourself to feel every emotion you are feeling. It is all valid and it's okay to do so. Continue to take care of yourself in ways that bring you peace. Seek love and support in those you trust and talk to someone.
BLACK LIVES MATTERS.
There is a problem. Be part of the solution. Your light is noticeable. Continue to be loud. Hold a hand and keep fighting. Speak truth. Seek justice. ACT. HELP. ENGAGE. Use your voice. Listen to theirs. Educate yourself. Breathe. I stand with you. Love love love love.
Use your heart to give love.
Use your voice to speak truth.
Use your light to support.
Use your presence to create change.
